Pearls ...

Had to test out the bike prior to using her for a business trip. So, I made a short trip down to the Calapooia Brewing down in Albany, OR. Very cool pub. It's simple, which appeals to whatever is left of my engineering sensibility. The people were very cool, which appeals to whatever is left of my Texan friendliness. And their Chili Beer is *^^&%%^$%* awesome. The only not-so-positive thing I experienced was that I didn't much like their Yankee Clipper IPA. But, then again, I'd just ridden for 1.5 hours on my bike, on the freeway, in 90 degree sun, with my half-helmet. So, my face and lips were wind chapped and my mouth was dry. So my guess is the Yankee Clipper is good but didn't fit my palate the way the Chili Beer did at the time.

Note to self: Find out if anyone in Portland sells their beer, especially the Chili. And if not, that will be the contents of my next corny refill. -----
