Well, I'm embarrassed to say that after that first run, my calves were so damaged that I couldn't run again for over a week. Finally, today, I put my old shoes back on and took my normal 3 mile run. My calves hurt quite a bit, still, but nothing like when I tried to run Wednesday.

Clearly, I overdid it on my first time out with the 5 fingers. I'll do it again probably next week and be a little more careful as my feet and leg muscles are retrained.
